Awareness is the only key to make the mind silent which is tensing to fluctuate with millions of thoughts in a second. Aware your each moment of life to slow down physically, mentally&spiritually. Lack of awareness is equal to lack of knowledge (avidya).So, yoga means awareness.
Each bite of knowledge taking us one step ahead in the path of life. It's not going to stop us from the end; but it can reduce the pain in life what it going through. Every philosophy and science created on the base of it only. And I am pretty sure that it will remain like that till the life goes in this universe.
